About Me

I am a marine scientist by training and love spending time at sea, mostly in polar waters. Being a scientist has one big disadvantage though. You do have to wait for any positive feedback for a long time. It takes many years between having an idea, to collecting the data, analysing and then finally publishing it. That is not good for my mental health. I also like to build and repair things, which often gives me instant satisfaction. In 2017, I discovered the world of pottery and since then use pottery to relax, be inspired and to be creative.
