Time and temperature must always be considered together when firing ceramics.
Potters use pyrometric cones to "see" if the right temperature and time was reached.
After some better understanding of how my kiln works I dialed in a maximum temperature of 1210°C with a 15 minute hold for a cone 5½. It seems to have worked.
